Before you start
Three things first. Davinci Resolve Studio is open. External scripting is set to Local, you did that in part one. And Davinci is switched on in the folder structure of the project, that was part eight.
Put into Davinci
On the project page, click Davinci, and then Put into Davinci. Is another project open in Davinci? Then Rushwise asks first, and saves your current project before it switches. It makes the project in the right folder, makes your bins, and puts your footage in them.
Only what's missing
You can click it again any time. Rushwise only adds what's missing, like a song you added later, or the footage of a second card. It never removes or overwrites anything in Davinci.
Make timelines
When all cards are in, choose Make timelines. Rushwise makes the timelines of your structure, puts every clip on them in recording order, and colours them per camera. A timeline that already exists stays exactly as it is, even while you edit in it.
Steps that tick
And on the project page, the steps Put into Davinci and Timelines made tick themselves.
Straight after a card
Want it even faster? Tick Then also put it into Davinci when you add media. The new footage goes into Davinci as soon as the copy is done, and Rushwise remembers your choice.
If something is off
Is Davinci closed, or scripting switched off? Then Rushwise tells you exactly what to do, and nothing changes in Davinci. Your footage itself always stays safe on your disk.
