Rushwise Academy · Part 11 of 13 · Client feedback

Client feedback as Davinci Resolve markers

Paste your client's feedback from WhatsApp or mail, and every line becomes a point you can tick off. Times in the messages are recognised, and one click puts every point as a red marker on your Davinci Resolve timeline. Part 11 of the Rushwise Academy, the series about the app for Davinci Resolve editors.

Premieres on Thu 5 Nov

Copy the feedback

Your couple sends their feedback, in WhatsApp or by mail. Select the messages and copy them, just as they are. You don't need to clean anything up.

Paste it in

On the project page, click in Client feedback, and paste. Every line becomes a point. The names and dates of the chat are left out, and so are the From and Subject lines of a mail. A time in the film becomes a red label.

Edit a point

A line without a time becomes a point too. Don't need it? Remove it with the cross. And click a point to change it. Change the time, and Rushwise reads it again.

Put as markers

Below the points, choose the timeline, for example your short film, and click Put as markers in Davinci. Davinci Resolve has to be open, and the project has to be in Davinci already. That was part nine.

Red markers

Every point with a time is now a red marker, at exactly that moment, with the text of the point in it. And in Rushwise, those points now say in Davinci.

Only what's new

More feedback later? Paste it, or type a point yourself and press Enter. Click again, and only the new points go to Davinci. A marker is never added twice.

If a marker doesn't fit

Does a time fall after the end of the timeline, or is there already a marker at that spot? Then Rushwise tells you, and the point shows why. Change it, and click again.

Tick them off

While you edit, tick every point that's done. And the overview shows how many points are still open, so no wish gets forgotten.
